ORLANDO ANTONIO PANTOJA RODRIGUEZ

Orlando Pantoja Rodriguez was born in 1974, Havana, Cuba where he started painting at the age of 5 as a member of Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. The work of Artists such as Fidelio Ponce D Leon, Mariano Rodriguez, Vincent Van Gogh and Pablo Picasso influenced him to create his paintings. He moved to Canada where he continues to paint using different mediums while representing a variety of styles.
Orlando Pantoja has been working as a Professional Artist in Ontario for 15 years. He was trained in Cuba where he attended classes at the School of Art, 23 Y C, lessons at the School of Music, Manuel Saumel, and workshops in Lenin Park. He has exhibited his work in Toronto at Insomnia Restaurant, Espresso Mi Vida Restaurant and at Latinadas Restaurant.
Pantoja is inspired to paint while playing music; his mother Marusha (Cuban/Canadian Singer) taught him that the world of art is most important. His artwork represents his life, the people, places, and things from his surroundings. His art is a passionate expression of love and fear, a balance of emotions which can relate to society in general.
